《哈哈大校》是由Tony Dow執導爆笑喜劇，該劇由《小不列顛》和《伴我雙飛》男星之一大衛·威廉姆斯主創並主演，《神秘博士》女星凱瑟琳·塔特將飾演女主，《火星生活》男星菲利普·格倫尼斯特也加盟該劇。
該劇第一季於當地時間2013年8月16日登陸BBC1台，共有6集，講述了一所中學里教職員工的工作和生活。
故事背景設在一所中學，《哈哈大校》聚焦的是一群古怪奇葩的老師，一廂情願的單戀，以及他們日常教學工作中的種種搞笑情節，化學老師查奇(David Walliams)瘋狂地愛戀著新來的法語老師波絲頓（Catherine Tate），而體育老師格恩（Philip Glenister）則是個浪蕩子，他顯然不會袖手旁觀，由此鬧出了笑料百出的故事。
