Black Gold

故事改編自Hans Ruesch的小說《心之南方：一部關於現代阿拉伯的小說》，講述了30年代早期兩大阿拉伯酋長之間的鬥爭。有人將本片形容為“《阿拉伯的勞倫斯》+《血色將至》”。

劇情設定在上個世紀30年代，當時阿拉伯國家正處在石油熱的初期。故事講述一個博覽群書的年輕王子（Tahar Rahim飾）在保守的父親（Mark Strong飾）與思想開放的岳父（Antonio Banderas飾）對於石油的不同態度之間的權衡與抉擇，與此同時，他也在複雜的利益糾葛與權力紛爭之中漸漸成熟...
