馬修·貝恩頓

Mat就讀於Rose Bruford大學的演講與戲劇學院，並以第一名的成績從該校畢業。他在兒童劇《糟糕歷史/Horrible Histories》中一人分飾多角，並偶爾在該劇中擔任編劇。他因在Gavin & Stacey中飾演Deano一角而被大多人所喜愛，而2011年，Darren Boyd的情景喜劇《菜鳥間諜/Spy》中Chris一角卻著實讓他紅了一把。

Mat也是位音樂人，他是Special Benny樂隊中的主唱，吉他手和貝斯手，樂隊的首張專輯《Toys》於2010年發行。並且他也有出個人單曲，名為Dog Ears。他的首張唱片"So It Goes"於2011年10月發行，其中的四首歌曲——"The Howling", "Like Rain", "Onwards Onwards" 和 "Mrs Winchester" 均是由Mat作詞的。

已有新聞證實，Mat將與James Corden 合作編劇並參演 The Wrong Mans，該劇是由六部分組成的喜劇驚悚片，且定於2013年在BBC2播出，屆時也將在美國同步直播。

2020年9月21日，主演的電視劇《古宅老友記 第二季》在英國首播。

2021年8月9日，主演的電視劇《古宅老友記 第三季》在英國首播。
