花莖與不育莖或根出條簇狀叢生或叢生，稀單生；莖草質或基部稍木質而宿存，下部葉在花期常枯萎，無蓮座狀葉叢；苞葉長圓形、線狀披針形或線形，較少數，直立，或開展成不明顯的星狀苞葉群；冠毛白色，雄花冠毛和花冠在花后常增長。
