彭貴青,男,江西貴溪人。華中農業大學教授、博士生導師,院長助理,農業微生物學國家重點實驗室固定人員。國家“萬人計劃”青年拔尖人才、教育部青年長江學者、國家自然科學基金“優青”獲得者(2017)。華中農業大農學學士、武漢大學微生物學博士。

從事分子病毒學及蛋白質結構生物學研究,研究方向包括重要病原體入侵及其與宿主相互作用的分子機理;病原體耐葯分子機理;新型抗病毒藥物和診斷方法的開發與研製。
《動物病毒學》、《細胞生物學C》、《預防獸醫學進展》等。
長期專註於冠狀病毒研究,圍繞該病毒入侵、複製的分子機制,取得一系列具有國際影響的創新性研究成果。先後解析冠狀病毒(MHV、BcoV)刺突蛋白結構、病毒受體(CEACAM1b、PAPN)的結構,以及刺突蛋白與受體複合物(MHV刺突蛋白與受體CEACAM複合物、SARS-CoV刺突蛋白與受體ACE2複合物)的結構;首次發現冠狀病毒刺突蛋白具有凝集素樣結構,闡明了冠狀病毒識別糖受體的分子機理;並且揭示了冠狀病毒與受體共進化的機制。首次解析了動脈炎病毒科PRRSV核酸內切酶NSP11的結構,發現了與冠狀病毒核酸內切酶完全不同的聚合方式,闡明了核酸內切酶參與病毒複製的新機制。承擔有國家自然科學基金、中組部拔尖人才基金、973子課題等科研項目。
近五年,以第一作者或通訊作者在PNAS、Journal of Biological Chemistry、Journal of Virology、Virology等發表SCI論文10篇。
