舞夢成真

勞瑞恩是一個小鎮姑娘，她離開家鄉搬到芝加哥，就是希望能進入芝加哥音樂舞蹈學院進行學習，以實現自己當舞蹈家的夢想。然而在面試失敗並經歷了許多天災人禍后，勞瑞恩被迫在一家夜總會裡進行表演維持生活。夜總會裡的人形形色色，勞瑞恩在與他們的接觸中重新發現了自己，並開始明白計劃也許會改變，但是夢想永遠將執著下去。

以舞蹈或體育等為題材的電影往往都有它們固定的一票支持者，畢竟喜歡這類電影的動感和活力的人就如同另一群喜愛武打片中的動作場面的忠實觀眾或其他愛被恐怖片嚇的影迷。我也早自《辣身舞》(Dirty Dancing)，便開始喜歡上這類舞蹈電影，喜歡他們舞得熱鬧、舞得忘我的氣氛營造。通常電影中的另兩個賣點便是主人翁的成長和過程中所激發出超絢舞姿。

《舞出精彩》也以相同的劇情發展，只可惜，它並沒有能夠製造出太大的驚喜或火花。在電影中段的夜總會舞蹈讓人有小型《紅磨坊》(Moulin Rouge)的味道，也有些許《魅力四射》(Coyote Ugly)的影子。

與較現代的《舞出我人生》(Step Up)相比，《舞出精彩》無法締造新的舞蹈電影熱潮。
