李朝義
李朝義(1934-2018),中國科學院院士。中國科學院重大交叉前沿研究項目“腦和意識研究”首席科學家。1956年畢業於中國醫科大學。1999年當選為中國科學院院士。先後在德國馬克斯-普朗克生物物理化學研究所、美國普林斯頓大學、比利時魯文基督大學、加拿大麥基爾大學、日本九州工學院和法國國家科學研究中心任客座科學家。受聘為復旦大學、中國科技大學、華中科技大學、電子科技大學、暨南大學和第三軍醫大學兼職教授和榮譽教授。曾擔任國家基金委神經科學、心理學、病理生理學徠和醫學評審組組長。2018年8月11日18時49分,李朝義先生因病醫治無效,在上海市第六人民醫院逝世,享年八十五歲。

中國共產黨優秀黨員,著名神經生物學家,中國科學院院士,中國科學院上海生命科學研究院研究員,電子科技大學雙聘院士、生命科學與技術學院教授、視覺認知與類腦計算實驗室主任、神經信息教育部重點實驗室學術委員會名譽主任、博士生導師李朝義先生,因病醫治無效,不幸於2018年8月11日18時49分在上海市第六人民醫院逝世,享年八十五歲。
主要從事視覺中樞研究,在國際刊物上發表了四十餘篇研究論文(見publication list)。這些論文揭示了在視網膜、外膝體和視皮層各級神經元的感受野外面,都存在著一個範圍比感受野大幾十倍的“整合野”,系統地闡明了整合野在複雜圖像信息處理中的重要性。在此基礎上提出了感受野“三重結構”的新理論。這些結果已被國外廣泛引用,並被國外學者應用於解釋人類腦電圖對圖形刺激的反應,以及應用於神經網路和人工智慧等研究領域。在視覺信息大範圍整合研究方面處於國際前沿,該領域已成為國際上研究複雜視覺信息處理神經機制的熱點。由於以上貢獻,先後獲得中國科學院自然科學二等獎(1991年)、國家自然科學二等獎(1997年)、和何梁何利科學與技術進步獎(2000年)。
