2002-至今，蘭州大學化學化工學院、功能有機分子化學國家重點實驗室，教授。

2003，2008，2013，德國Bielefeld大學高級訪問學者（短期）。

1997-2001，蘭州大學化學化工學院、功能有機分子化學國家重點實驗室，副教授。

1982-1992，蘭州大學化學系，助教、講師。

曾主持過多項研究課題，得到國家自然科學基金委“創新研究群體基金”、科技部“973計劃”、國家教委“骨幹教師基金”、“優秀年輕教師基金”、“回國人員科研啟動基金”、“中國博士后科學基金”、“甘肅省自然科學基金”、“蘭州大學功能有機分子化學國家重點實驗室基金”等多項資助。目前主持一項國家自然科學基金，為蘭州大學“有機化學創新群體”和“國家重點基礎研究發展計劃（973計劃）”骨幹成員。
