喬木；葉亞革質或紙質，全緣；花序為近傘形狀或聚傘狀，單生葉腋；花4-10基數；分核4-10，通常5或6，具3條紋，2溝，稀無溝，內果皮革質、木質或近木質。

國產6種，產華東、華南和西南。
