邁克爾·度德威特

邁克爾·度德威特（Michael Dudok de Wit，1953年出生於荷蘭），漫畫家，插畫家，動畫導演。1978年畢業於英國薩里藝術設計學院（West Surrey College of Art and Design（UK））並完成第一部電影《會見》（The Interview)，在巴塞隆納工作一年，1980年代起定居英國倫敦，開始他的獲獎導演生涯。他曾在Richard William、Richard Purdum等英國著名動畫公司工作，也參與不少廣告片製作。在法國瘋影(Folimage)動畫公司支持下，1994年他完成了首部個人動畫短片《和尚與飛魚》(Monk and Fish)。片中的小和尚追著飛魚到處跑，為他追來了95年法國凱撒獎(César Award for Best Short Film)與歐洲金動畫獎(Cartoon d’Or) 。《父與女》(Father and Daughter) 以家鄉的平原與單車入景，述說一個小女孩等待父親歸來的心情。這部感人至深的作品榮獲安錫(Annecy) 、奧斯卡等動畫大獎。Michael在倫敦有個自己的電影工作室，他也從事繪本創作，作品有《四隻小水獺》(Vier Bevertjes in de Nacht / Four Little beavers in the Night)、《奧斯卡與小呼》(Oscar and Hoo)、《父與女》繪本版等。他同時也在英、法與瑞士等地的動畫學校教書。

他最著名的作品《父與女》獲奧斯卡獎，英國電影學院獎（a BAFTA Award），阿納西大獎和其他一系列大獎。他最近的作品《茶之芳香》（"The Aroma of Tea" ，2006）完全是用茶繪製的。

在《清潔工湯姆》（Tom Sweep）之後所用作品都深受中國和日本藝術影響，水墨的使用成了其標誌性的風格。
