武昌第一紗廠

民國初年，時任漢口商務總理的李紫雲，邀約鉅賈程棟臣、程佛瀾兄弟等人合股創建了武昌第一紗廠。一九一五年，武昌一紗廠【即北場】破土動工，一九二三年增建南場。公司共征地三百畝，設紡、織兩廠，擁有紗錠八萬枚，布機一千二百台，工人幾千名。成為當時華中最大的紡織廠。之後，武昌沿江一帶又相繼創辦了裕華、震寰等紡織廠，標誌著由民族資產階級創辦的武昌紡織基地的形成。
