Avicii 原名Tim Bergling，1989年9月8日出生於瑞典的斯德哥爾摩省。2008年，不滿20歲的Avicii開始嘗試為遊戲[Commodore 64]製作主題曲，這促使他創作出了自己的第一支單曲《Lazy Jones》，該曲在Strike Recordings發行后立刻引起轟動，只是牛刀小試的瑞典少年得到了眾多新老DJ的稱讚，他們驚訝這位18歲年輕人的處子作居然如此專業和迎合時代潮流。很快，Avicii被英國老牌House天王Pete Tong注意。在前輩的力邀下，Avicii的第二首單曲《Manman》在Pete Tong的節目[First Trax]當中成為主打，超過七成的聽眾支持率讓Bergling一下子成為炙手可熱的明日之星，這首作品順勢被Pete Tong拿來發行在自己的廠牌Bedroom Bedlam下。Pete Tong的力薦對Avicii來說可謂一個重要的轉折，讓他一下子從混沌的卧房製作人集團中脫穎而出，加上從2008年逐漸升溫的瑞典效應，給了這位後生迅速成長所需要的一切外部優勢。隨著《Manman》的走紅，他得到了更多優質的合約：澳洲老牌House大廠Vicious Grooves將其視為門下至寶，Armada加盟音樂公司Zouk給了他更多站上主流舞台的機會，就連老東家Strike Recordings也調轉船頭集結Avicii早期作品重新發行。眾多的機會當中，Vicious Grooves的歷練賜予他成為House未來巨星的潛質，從2008年末開始，包括《Even》《Sound Of Now》《Ryu-Strutnut》《My Feelings For You》等在內多首在Beatport上打榜的作品讓他積累起不少人氣，不到兩年的時間，Avicii儼然成為Vicious Grooves最高產藝人。

2010年，這位準90后開始和瑞典知名製作人John Dahlbck合作，不但聯合發行了單曲《Don't Hold Back》，而且還共同推出了一張混音專輯《Super You & Me - Vol 01》，他的最新單曲《Levels》也獲得了世界舞曲連續17周排行第一共18周的奇迹成績。此外，他也獲得了與瑞典三傑之一的Sebastian Ingrosso、荷蘭DJ天王Tiesto親密接觸的機會。也是在這一年，憑藉極高的人氣，他首次出現在DJ Mag世界百大DJ排行榜上，第38名的成績讓他成為Top 40當中年齡最小的成員。在2011年百大DJ榜單中Avicii名列第6，在2012年百大DJ榜單中Avicii名列第3，這也是對Avicii充分的肯定。在2013年百大DJ榜單中蟬聯季軍。
