唐明教授,博士,國 際電子與電氣工程師協會高級 會員(Senior member of IEEE),日本應用物理學會會員。2001年於華中科技大學光電子工程系獲得學士學位;2001年至2005年於新加坡南洋理工大學(NTU)電子與電氣工程學院攻讀博士課程並於2005年獲得博士學位;2005年至2009年於新加坡南洋理工大學網路技術研究中心(NTRC)從事博士后研究;2009年2月至2011年2月加入日本理化學研究所(RIKEN)極端光子學研究項目組(Extreme Photonics Program)任特別研究員;2011年1月作為引進人才加入華中科技大學光電學院,武漢光電國家實驗室(籌)。一直在光纖光學,非線性光學,光纖激光和放大器以及太赫茲波科學與技術等領域從事前沿研究。目前在沈平教授團隊中負責光纖激光器與放大器和非線性光學等領域的基礎與應用研究。
唐明教授自2007年以來作為新加坡IEEE photonics分會的委員參與了多個國際學術會議的組織工作。是IEEE Photonics Global Conference 2010技術委員會委員,國際會議ICAIT 2007年至2011年的技術委員會委員,在POEM2008, 2010年亞太微波光子學年會,以及WOCN2011等國際學術會議上做特邀報告。唐明博士已在國際知名學術期刊和國際學術會議上發表學術論文70餘篇,2004年其關於Raman光纖放大器的學術論文獲得IEEE Region 10最佳論文金獎;2007年關於非線性參量過程主導的多波長光纖激光器研究得到SPIE newsroom跟蹤報道;2010年作為日本理化學研究所唯一的代表參加日本科學技術連攜委員會和日本學術會議大講堂舉辦的“先端光科學展望”大會陳述;長期擔任Optics letters, IEEE PTL, IEEE JLT, Optics Express, European Physics Letters等多個國際著名學術期刊的審稿人。唐明博士也是海南大學信息科學與技術學院的客座教授。
