The Fray樂隊屬於另類搖滾樂隊，2002年在美國丹佛市成立，由4人組成，包括：同為校友的Isaac Slade（主唱和鋼琴）和Joe King（吉他，演唱）以及后加入的Dave Welsh（吉他）和Ben Wysocki（鼓手及打擊樂器）。

The Fray樂隊風格與英國的Coldplay和Keane相似，The Fray是新一批樂壇新興血液中受英式樂隊（諸如Coldplay和Keane）影響較深的一支，也保留了美國90年代傳統搖滾Counting Crows和the Wallflowers的氣質，還有點Jimmy Eat World這種EMO樂隊的衝勁。但THE FRAY的特點在於樂隊對鋼琴的鐘愛。也許就是因為鋼琴，才使得他們的音樂有種特別的氣質。旗幟般飄揚的主音唱腔頗具英式感，骨子裡還是保守的美式作風，時不時來點情緒性的激揚調調，他們不是那種風格一脈相承的樂隊，截取各家之長是他們一個顯而易見的強項。
