王丁

教育經歷

1982年畢業於武漢大學空間物理系，同年到中科院水生所工作，從事白鱀豚、長江江豚、瓶鼻海豚、中華白海豚及其它一些珍稀水生野生動物的聲學、行為學、生態學及保護生物學研究。

1990年赴美國德州A&M大學加爾維斯頓分校從事博士論文研究（海洋哺乳動物學），1993年回中科院水生所工作，同年5月獲理學博士學位。

工作經歷

1996年被聘為研究員和白暨豚研究室主任。1999年任黨委副書記（主持工作）、副所長。研究工作包括動物聲行為：主要研究小型鯨類動物的發聲、聲與行為和環境的關係；白暨豚、江豚及其他小型鯨類的生態學及物種保護：主要研究種群數量變動規律及其與人類活動的關係，探討和實施保護對策。現為IUCN鯨類專家組成員、亞洲河海豚委員會委員和中科院生物多樣性委員會委員。

主要研究方向為動物行為學和保護生物學。

曾獲國家科技進步三等獎一次、省科技進步一等獎一次、省科技進步二等獎一次、中科院院長獎學金特別獎、中科院青年科學家獎二等獎、世界自然基金會（WWF）Bernhard親王殿下自然保護獎學金、武漢市環保大使、水生野生動物保護海昌獎（突出貢獻獎）。1994年起享受政府特殊津貼。
