Kingdom Come

《Kingdom Come》的靈感來自1996年出版的一本《超人》系列漫畫書，內容講的是退休以後的超人重新“上崗”。而《Kingdom Come》與JAY-Z上一張正式個人專輯《The Black Album》（2003年）時隔3年，這期間，作為Def Jam公司的首席執行官，JAY-Z從來就沒有真正離開過美國流行樂壇，只是把更多的心思從個人的演唱事業上轉移到了管理工作當中而已。JAY-Z感覺嘻哈樂壇碰到了“人才匱乏，後繼無人”的窘境，他覺得他有必要回來。但他並不是以一己之力拯救嘻哈樂———因為這段時間還是有專輯在不斷問世，比方說埃米納姆和Dr.Dre的，不過他覺得樂壇仍需要一些“大手筆”的作品。

專輯的嘉賓陣容包括法瑞爾·威廉姆斯、亞瑟小子、碧昂絲·吉賽爾·諾斯、約翰·傳奇和酷玩樂隊主唱克里斯·馬汀等。專輯收錄曲《Show Me What You Got》的MV由電影《偷天換日》的導演F·加里·格瑞執導，遠赴摩納哥拍攝，主角是美國NASCAR汽車場地賽車手小安哈特和印地賽車手丹尼卡·帕特里克。
