陳小明
中國科學院院士
陳小明,1961年10月5日出生於廣東省揭陽市,無機化學家,中國科學院院士,生物無機與合成化學教育部重點實驗室(中山大學)主任。曾在美國加州大學聖迭戈分校作訪問學者。
1983年於中山大學化學系獲學士學位,1986年於中山大學化學系獲碩士學位,1992年於香港中文大學化學系獲博士學位(導師麥松威教授)后回到中山大學工作。1993年12月晉陞副教授,1994年12月破格晉陞教授,1996年7月被遴選為無機化學的博士生導師。1999年被教育部聘為長江學者獎勵計劃特聘教授。2009年12月當選中國科學院院士。曾擔任中山大學化學與化學工程學院院長。
陳小明主要從事配合物超分子化學與晶體工程領域的研究。

1992年,獲香港中文大學哲學博士學位。
1986年至1989年,在中山醫科大學生物化學教研室工作,歷任助教、講師。
1992年7月,在中山大學化學與化學工程學院工作,副教授(1993年12月晉陞)、教授(1995年1月晉陞)。
2000年至2004年,長江學者特聘教授。
2006年,擔任生物無機與合成化學教育部重點實驗室主任。曾擔任中山大學化學與化學工程學院院長。
作為第一完成人獲國家自然科學獎二等獎一項和廣東省自然科學獎一等獎兩項,並先後獲得香港求是科技基金會“傑出青年學者獎”、第五屆“中國青年科技獎”,以及教育部“全國優秀教師”等個人獎勵。

他主要從事功能金屬配合物和聚合金屬配合物超分子體系的分子設計、合成和結構與性能研究。目前已取得的主要研究成果有三個方面:
(1) 1992年起,開展“金屬酶活性中心構的小分子模擬”的研究,取得具有特色的進展,合成了多種金屬酶活性中心結構的新型模型化 合物並進行深入的結構與催化性質研究。
(2) 1994年起,開展了“具有光電子性能的簇合物與聚合物研究”,創立合成含銅與其它金屬的異多核配合物的獨特方法,設計和組裝新 型異多核金屬配合物,在複雜異多核金屬配合物的分子設計與合成方面取得新的突破,成功建立起系列銅-稀土18核簇合物及其它銅-稀土異 多核配合物的新穎製備方法,開展複雜金屬配合物體系的磁性及光電性質研究,為異金屬功能配合物在分子光電器件中的應用研究提供了新的 基礎。
(3)成功利用橋連配體與金屬離子作為模塊組裝了大量的、具有不同框架結構的聚合金屬配合物,並通過超分子作用等調控聚合物的框架 結構,獲得系列具有新穎結構和發光功能等功能的新型有機—金屬聚合物,為此類新型無機—有機雜化材料的研製提出新的研究思路和方向。
1993年以來,主持包括國家傑出青年科學基金和國家基金重點項目等10多項國家和省部級科學基金課題。迄今在國內外學術雜誌上發表學 術論文230多篇,其中在包括國際第一流的化學雜誌《美國化學會會志》、德國《應用化學》、《歐洲化學》等知名學術刊物發表200多篇。部分論文已被同行在國際性學術雜誌上引證1160多次。根據國家科委情報中心的統計,1996年陳小明在國際上發表(《SCI》收錄)的論文居全國個人排行榜第五位,1997年國際論文被引用篇數全國個人排位第三名。1999年國際論文被引用篇數全國個人排位第三名。曾應邀在13次國際性 和17次全國性學術會議上作邀請報告。在教學方面,他曾講授《結構化學》、《波譜化學》、《X射線單晶結構分析》和《金屬配合物的現代研究方法》、《現代無機化學》、《 配位化學》等本科生、研究生課程。指導博士后、博士生、碩士生等的科研工作,其中7名博士生和6名碩士生已畢業並獲得相應學位。他指導的一名博士生的學位論文被評為“全國優秀博士論文”(2001年)。
由於他在科研和教學等方面取得的成績,1996年獲國家傑出青年科學基金的資助。1997年獲第五屆“中國青年科技獎”,首屆“廣東省優秀青年科學家獎”。1998年,獲廣東省自然科學獎一等獎(第一完成人)、廣東省“十大傑出青年”稱號。入選國家“百千萬”人才工程97年度第一、二層次人選。1999年獲得求是科學基金會“傑出青年學者獎”。2000年獲得中國高等學校科學技術獎二等獎(第三完成人)。2002年獲得中國高等學校科學技術獎二等獎(第一完成人)。 2007年獲國家自然科學獎二等獎。
