西方搖滾樂界成就獎
搖滾名人堂（Rock and Roll Hall of Fame）是一個西方搖滾樂界成就獎，致力於表彰歷史上一些最具知名度最具影響力的藝術家、製作人以及在一些重要層面通過搖滾樂形式影響整個音樂工業的人。
它考慮到了入選音樂人對整個搖滾樂歷史的貢獻，更能證明他們的輝煌成就。最苛刻的一個條件是，被提名的時間必須距離首張專輯發行25年以上。
搖滾名人堂Logo
搖滾名人堂基金會創立於1983年4月20日，由Atlantic Records（大西洋唱片）創立者兼主席Ahmet Ertegun創建，然而基金會一直沒有安身之所。選址委員會曾考慮過包括孟菲斯、辛辛那提、紐約及克里夫蘭幾所城市。這幾座城市與搖滾都有著深厚的緣分，孟菲斯是偉大的Sun Studio與Stax Records的誕生地，而辛辛那提則是拓荒者Syd Nathan早在1943年就創建的King Records的根據地，紐約的傳奇性當然也不在話下，1969年的Woodstock說明了一切。但最終委員會決定選擇克里夫蘭，一方面，第一場搖滾音樂會於1952年3月21日在此上演，而組織者正是被後世稱為“搖滾樂之父”的月亮狗Alan Freed。另一方面，在克里夫蘭許諾用6500萬公共投資建設博物館同時，一封60萬樂迷簽名的請願書中，克里夫蘭的支持率也遠遠超過孟菲斯，對此，《今日美國》也舉行了一次投票，克里夫蘭以超過10萬票取勝。終於，“搖滾樂名人堂博物館”得以在此安家，毗鄰北美五大湖之一的伊利湖，由世界級建築大師，美籍華人貝聿銘先生一手設計。1993年6月7日舉行破土儀式，Chuck Berry和Pete Townshend受邀出席。1995年9月2日，博物館正式開張，由Little Richard和小野洋子等剪綵。
建築
Performers
發行首張唱片至少25年以上，並且對搖滾樂的發展有卓絕的貢獻。由搖滾歷史學家組成的提名委員會提名，再由1000名左右的搖滾專家進行投票，票選超過50%即入選，每年的入選名單一般控制在5-7名。
Non-performers
對搖滾的發展有重大影響的歌曲作者（創作人）、製作人、dj、錄音師、新聞記者以及其他業內專業人士。
Early influences
搖滾誕生以前的藝人，但他們的音樂影響了搖滾的進化，而且賦予搖滾領先藝人創作靈感。
Lifetime achievement
Side men
2000年引入的新類別。表彰那些主流藝人的幕後支持藝人。提名由一個主要有製作人組成的委員會作出。
註：2010年設立Musical Excellence（傑出貢獻獎），取消Side men（幕後支持者）。
1986—2016年共有312個入選者(其中113支樂隊/組合)總計749人，最多一年為22入選者（1987年），最少一年為5入選者（2007年、2016年）。
最多提名后入選者Solomon Burke（10次提名2001年入選）。
最多提名后未入選者Chic（11次提名尚未入選）。
Aretha Franklin是第一位入選女藝人（1987年）。
Stephen Stills是唯一一位同一年兩次入選者（1997年Crosby, Stills & Nash和Buffalo Springfield）。
有21位藝人兩次入選，其中Eric Clapton是唯一一位三次入選者。
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young和The Beatles的四位成員都兩次入選（但Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young並未入選，只是 Crosby, Stills & Nash）。
作為入選者介紹嘉賓次數最多者Smokey Robinson、Robbie Robertson、Keith Richards、Neil Young（均七次）。
唯一一個以非表演者身份入選表演者的是Robert Hunter（The Grateful Dead詞作者，1994年）。
同年入選搖滾名人堂和創作人名人堂的有Chuck Berry（1986年）、Joni Mitchell（1997年）、Bruce Springsteen（1999年）、James Taylor（2000年）、Jesse Stone（2010年）、Leon Russell（2011年）。
10人以上樂隊入選者有Parliament-Funkadelic（16人，1997年），The Grateful Dead（12人，1994年），Bill Haley And The Comets （11人，1987年/2012年），Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band（11人，1999年/2014年）。

Solo為Solo Artist（單獨表演的藝人），其餘為樂隊成員之一，括弧內數字為獲獎年份。
搖滾名人堂一直以來都備受爭議，因為其不透明的提名和投票過程，被許多媒體指責有錢權交易，而更是有好幾位藝術家公開指責搖滾名人堂的提名委員會因為其與提名者的個人恩怨，而使得這些藝術家沒有辦法獲獎，而且很多入選的提名者和“搖滾”根本沒關係，音樂圈內不少人對這個機構持懷疑態度，頻見報端的飄忽不定的評選標準，讓其公正性大打折扣，甚至成了一個秘而不宣的笑話。
