Manic Street Preachers，常被簡稱為The Manics（狂躁者）是一隻來自英國威爾士的搖滾樂團，成立於1989年，他們是1990年代晚期英國最大的樂團。雖然他們在早期時的音樂風格偏向龐克搖滾，但現在他們的曲風通常被歸類為另類搖滾。

從1992年到1994年出版了被稱為“黑暗三部曲”的3張專輯：Generation Terrorists、Gold Against the Soul和The Holy Bible。通常形容這三張專輯的影響用一個詞：驚世駭俗。
然而1995年2月1日，吉他手Richey Edwards（被稱為天才天才詞曲作者）突然失蹤並疑似自殺，成為搖滾史上一大奇案。2008年11月，被英國法庭裁定其宣布身故。熟悉四人時代Manics的樂迷，都會知道從前他們有一個有趣的合作方式：歌手兼吉他手James Dean Bradfield和鼓手Sean Moore負責作曲，而吉他手Richey James Edwards和低音吉他手Nicky Wire則負責填詞——舊日Manics的歌曲創作就是有這樣的分工。James作為樂隊的主唱，Manics的歌曲就是我口（James）唱他心（Richey / Nicky）。
後來樂隊失去了Richey，樂隊的歌曲創作合作方式也發生了變化。經過Everything Must Go（1996年）這張首次以三人姿態現身的過渡期專輯，日後Manics的作品，已再沒有列明了是誰作曲、誰填詞，而只有視為James、Nicky和Sean三人的共同作品。
沒有Edwards的時期，MSP的音樂也發生了很大變化，Generation Terrorists為他們樹立了一個朋克復興者的形象。重新上路的MSP更注重內省，更關注現實。同時，狂噪的朋克收斂成更抒情更富有旋律的音樂。1996年的Everything Must Go堪稱經典之作，沒有Edwards的MSP同樣具有生命力。
