在擬南芥/水稻的花藥關鍵轉錄因子開展了大量研究工作，主要利用高通量測序、基因晶元表達譜和蛋白質相互作用等生物化學、遺傳學和生物信息學等手段和方法，研究花藥關鍵轉錄因子在發育過程中的功能和調控網路，闡明小孢子外壁發育以及花藥發育的分子機理。先後主持和參加完成國家和上海市科研項目3項，目前主持和主要參加的在研國家基金項目2項。
