鄧成龍,男,雲南鎮雄人,中國科學院地質與地球物理研究所研究員。1994年獲長春地質學院(今吉林大學)地質礦產勘探工學學士學位,1997年獲中國地質大學(北京)沉積學理學碩士學位,2000年獲中國科學院地質與地球物理研究所地質專業理學博士學位。研究方向:磁性地層學、岩石磁學、沉積地質學。致力於白堊紀陸相地層與海相地層的對比、亞洲新近紀陸生哺乳動物年代學、早期人類演化與環境變化的關係以及粉塵堆積與環境變化的岩石磁學指標等科學問題的研究。曾到英國利物浦大學、美國戴維斯加州大學做訪問研究。

磁性地層學、岩石磁學、沉積地質學 綜合應用磁性地層學、岩石磁學和沉積地質學方法,對中、新生代沉積盆地進行定年,建立晚中生代以來重要沉積盆地的年代框架,致力於白堊紀陸相地層與海相地層的對比、亞洲新近紀陸生哺乳動物年代學、早期人類演化與環境變化的關係以及粉塵堆積與環境變化的岩石磁學指標等科學問題的研究。
國家自然科學二等獎(個人排名第四,2006年)中國地球物理學會青年科技獎(個人獎,2006年)中國地質學會第十二屆青年地質科技獎“金錘獎”(2009年)
2021年6月,入選2021年中科院傑出科技成就獎。
