要點說明


1.know的基本意思是“知道”“認識”“聽說”,指直接了解某事物,也可表示“領會,懂得”,指通過體驗或傳授而獲得知識。
2.know可用作不及物動詞,也可用作及物動詞。用作及物動詞作“知道,懂得”解時,可接表示事物的名詞、代詞、帶疑問詞的動詞不定式、that或疑問詞引導的從句作賓語,也可接以“(to be/as+) n./adj./prep. -phrase. ”或動詞不定式充當補足語的複合賓語。作“認識,了解”解時,可接表示人或物的名詞作賓語。know可用於被動結構。know接to be作賓語補足語時, to be常可省略,但當to be表示的時間先於know表示的時間時,須用不定式的完成式,且不可省略。
3.在對話回答語中,如know的賓語表示的是整個事實(如that-clause),則賓語可省略; 如know的賓語是一個具體事物,則通常以it代替之。
4.know是表示思想狀態的動詞,指思維活動的結果,通常不用於進行體。
