周林

上海交通大學安泰經濟與管理學院前院長

周林(Lin Zhou),男,1959年出生。現任美國亞利桑那州立大學商學院凱瑞教授、上海交通大學安泰經濟與管理學院前院長、2006年教育部長江學者講座教授。

個人簡介


周林教授1982年於復旦大學任教,1989年獲得美國普林斯頓大學經濟學博士學位。先後在耶魯大學、杜克大學香港城市大學任教,曾在歐洲、澳大利亞、日本和香港多所高校擔任訪問學者和客座教授。
2009年,周林教授當選世界計量經濟學會榮譽會員(Fellow),成為我國大陸高校首位入選該學會的榮譽會員。

個人履歷


周林教授早期研究選舉制度和資源配置機制。將經典的Gibbard-Satterthwaith定理推廣到具有公共物品的經濟環境中去,解決了一個近二十年沒有解決的佔優策略機制結構的問題,為後繼學者對經濟環境中佔優策略機制的研究提供了理論基礎。九十年代提出了在合作博弈中一個新的解的概念,在後來文獻冠名為“周氏議價集”。闡明了完全競爭經濟中議價集並不一定收斂到完全競爭均衡,是對微觀經濟學中核收斂定理的重要補充。近年來,周林教授和其他兩位學者首創的關於博弈論的可驗證的結論問題。在各種不同的有限觀察的環境中找出博弈論理論的一些可驗證的結論。此外,為專業分工理論學派奠定嚴格的理論基礎,與楊小凱合作證明了在一個有遞增回報的完全競爭經濟模型一般均衡的存在性及福利經濟學基本定理。研究成果發表於國際期刊Games and Economic Behavior、Journal of Economic Theory、Economic Theory、Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization等。

當年,由鄒至庄先生主持、聯繫,福特基金會在中國人民大學和復旦大學辦了三屆“福特班”。另,福特基金會還每年資助60名學生去美國留學,命名為“鄒至庄經濟學留學計劃”,在全國重點高校中選拔佼佼者。如今已成為世界著名經濟學家的周林便是當年第一屆的第一名。
【“福特班”實際上是中國現代經濟學教育的“黃埔軍校”,每年有若干來自歐美的著名經濟學家和在西方獲得經濟學博士學位的經濟學精英人物前來執教。】
