先後擔任《高等數學》、《數據結構》、《數值分析》和《離散數學》等專業基礎課程的教學工作。教學中注重採用傳統教學、多媒體教學和實踐教學相結合的多種教學手段，並時刻注意教學改革，採用啟髮式教學，堅持教學互動原則，注重學生獨立思考和學習能力的培養，教學效果好，深受學生歡迎。以網路為教學載體，使教與學的過程延伸到課堂以外，通過案例教學並結合現代計算機技術和數學軟體 Mathematica和Matlab等在課堂教學中的應用，培養了學生的學習積極性，提高了學生科學計算的能力，收到了良好效果。
主要從事孤立子理論、可積系統和符號計算方面的研究工作，在《J. Phys. A: Math and Gen》、《Chaos Solitons & Fractals》、《Phys. Lett. A.》、《Chin. Phys.》、《Mode. Phys. Lett. B.》、《Comm. Theor. Phys.》等國內外著名期刊公開發表專業學術論文20餘篇，被SCI(光碟版)索引22篇，另有2篇論文被《美國數學評論》收錄並評論。
承擔“國家自然科學基金”項目一項，主持“山東省自然科學基金”和“泰山學院引進人才項目”各一項。2006-2007年，兩次獲山東省高校優秀科研成果三等獎兩項（首位）。 2007年獲泰安市青年科技獎。
