湖南省催化與綠色化學專業委員會副主任,湖南省化學化工學會常務理事,湖南省石油學會理事,中國化學會會員,日本化學會會員。
主要研究納米催化材料、二氧化碳的資源化利用、環境催化新技術、低碳烴資源催化轉化與利用、含鉍新型材料。 設計開發了系列新型高效催化劑和CO2吸收劑,部分研究成果具有很好的工業應用前景,並已經與企業開展放大實驗研究;已共計申請專利30項(6項授權);發表研究論文80餘篇,其中 Angew Chem Int Ed、Chem Commun、Chem Eur J、Green Chem、Adv Syn Catal、J Catal、Appl Catal B等SCI期刊收錄近45篇,EI 收錄20篇;論文被 Chem Rev、J Am Chem Soc等國際刊物引用頻次達400餘次。獲教育部高校自然科學獎二等獎10餘項嗎,2017年度國家傑出青年科學基金獲得者 。
