張國榮（1956年9月12日－2003年4月1日）生於香港，是一位在全球華人社會和亞洲地區具有影響力的著名歌手、演員和音樂人；大中華區樂壇和影壇巨星；演藝圈多棲發展最成功的代表之一。他通曉詞曲創作，曾擔任過MTV導演、唱片監製、電影編劇、電影監製。張國榮是香港樂壇的殿堂級歌手之一，曾獲得香港樂壇最高榮譽金針獎；他是第一位享譽韓國樂壇的華人歌手，亦是華語唱片在韓國銷量紀錄保持者。他於1991年當選香港電影金像獎影帝；1993年主演的影片《霸王別姬》打破中國內地文藝片在美國的票房紀錄，他亦憑此片蜚聲國際影壇，獲得日本影評人大獎最佳男主角獎以及中國電影表演藝術學會獎特別貢獻獎。他曾受邀擔任東京國際電影節和柏林國際電影節評委，2005年入選“中國電影百年百位優秀演員”，2010年當選美國CNN評出的“史上最偉大的二十五位亞洲演員”。
