胡征宇

1981年12月畢業於湖北大學生物系，獲學士學位，同年留校任教；1988-1991年師從著名藻類學家饒欽止教授和黎尚豪院士，獲中國科學院水生生物研究所理學博士學位；1993-1995年到以色列本古里安大學做博士后，從事藻類脂肪酸資源及藻類化學分類的研究。

目前的主要研究領域為淡水藻類生物技術和藻類系統分類學。在分類學方面，現已發表22新種，4新變種；報告15屬，64種為中國新記錄；作為卷冊主編負責國家自然基金委"九五"和"十五"重大項目"生物志編研"中的《中國淡水藻志·綠球藻目》（上下冊）和《中國淡水藻志·四胞藻目》的編寫；發表"雙星藻科的分支系統學研究"一文，對雙星藻科分類系統進行了補充；完成了"綠球藻目科間系統發育關係的研究"（已記錄14科，75屬，314種，103變種和6變型），提出了綠球藻目新的分類系統；此外在念珠藻（藍藻）和鞘藻（綠藻）分子系統學研究上也取得了較好的研究進展。在生 物技術方面，近年來對類球藻(Nautococcus mammilatus)生活史的研究，首次展現該藻漂浮帽的超微結構；發現鞘藻屬中一種新的細胞分裂方式和帽狀結構及其系統學意義，引起國際同行的興趣和關注；關於藻類脂肪滴的組成成分、形成機理、生物學意義的研究，高CO2濃度下單細胞綠藻生理響應機制的研究以及念珠藻的生理生態學研究等也取得了重要進展，尤其是人工培養方面，其主持的"葛仙米的工廠化養殖"項目成功地解決了葛仙米養殖中的難題，在此基礎上成立的武漢藻龍生物工程有限責任公司已經有系列葛仙米產品面世，而髮菜的人工養殖也取得階段性成果。目前承擔著國家自然科學基金、國家"863"和"973"子專題等多項課題的研究工作，在國內外重要刊物上發表論文50餘篇，申請專利4項。

2012年10月9日任中國科學院水生生物研究所副所長（任期5年）。
