林宏輝,男,教授,博士生導師,現任四川大學生命科學學院黨委書記。兼任國家級生物學基礎實驗中心主任,中國植物生理學會理事(青年委員會副主任),四川省科技青年聯合會副主席,四川省植物學會副理事長、秘書長,四川省學術及技術帶頭人,植物學報編委,生物學雜誌編委。

主要從事作物呼吸代謝與光合作用、植物病理、作物抗性生理及其適應逆境的分子機理以及園林植物生物技術領域的研究工作。先後主持參加了國家自然科學基金,973子課題,教育部重點項目,教育部博士點基金,留學回國人員基金,四川省傑出青年基金及省市科技攻關項目的研究工作;曾獲四川省有突出貢獻博士及中國植物學會先進青年科技工作者稱號。研究成果獲得省教委科技進步一等獎,省政府科技進步二等獎,教育部自然科學一等獎,教育部提名國家科學技術進步二等獎。
