蔡春芳,1966年生於福建省福清市。中科院地質與地球物理研究所研究員、博士生導師、長江大學楚天學者特聘教授。在GCA、Chem. Geol.、Org Geochem等國際著名刊物,發表第一作者國際SCI論文20篇,通訊論文8篇,三篇被SCI引文>85次,最高130次,H-index為16。主要從事盆地油、氣和水與岩石之間微生物和熱化學硫酸鹽還原(TSR)等作用,以及高-過成熟烴源岩與油氣對比研究。
闡明甲烷可以是TSR的主要反應物,定量表徵了其碳同位素分餾效應,提出TSR過程新產生了硫醇、四氫噻吩和金剛烷等化合物,發現硫代金剛烷和四氫噻酚硫同位素值反映了不同TSR階段;研發了烴源岩有機硫同位素測試方法,提出了其應用於油源對比的條件,認為塔里木盆地下古生界原油來自寒武系烴源岩,並將有機硫同位素應用於寒武紀生物大爆發時期古海洋硫氮循環關係研究;提出深埋白雲岩優質儲層可形成於早期白雲岩化和後期TSR;發現了鈾礦化硫酸鹽還原細菌微化石,首次建立了微生物與油氣同時參與的鈾成礦模式。
